We’re already almost a month into 2013 and there are already a bunch of new restaurants to check out! The places with the most buzz as of right now include Khong River House located on Lincoln Road, Momi Ramen in Brickell and PB Steak the 5th restaurant from the Pubbelly crew hits Purdy Ave.
In addition to the three buzzing restaurants, Feverish Ice Cream and Gourmet Pops goes brick and mortar with the opening of their midtown location. Kim Kardashian’s BFF, Jonathan Cheban opens up Sushi MiKasa at the Shelbourne Hotel, so that may be a place to check out if you’re looking for celebrity sightings. Maybe you’re looking for a vegetarian place to eat? Bueno, no worries. You can check out the new Maoz Vegetarian. Serafina come to South Beach from NYC and takes over the old Tudor House location. Siga la Vaca comes to hungry carnivores in Coral Gables. Pubbelly’s fourth restaurant, Barceloneta‘s second location opened up in Sunset. World of Beer comes to Kendall, but when are they coming to Hialeah?! The semi fast food, Salsa Fiesta opens a third location in Aventura. Plenty of variety in the new restaurants opening up around town, so finding something to eat should not be too hard.
Restaurants to keep an eye out for include The Cypress Room by Michael Schwartz to open sometime in early 2013. Wynwood Brewing Company is expected to open… eventually. Bunnie Cakes vegan bakery is expected to open in Wynwood. Hua Hua’s Taqueria by Chef Todd Erickson expected to open up on Lincoln Road.
In addition to new restaurants, there are festivals to check out ASAP. This Saturday Burger Beast is hosting his annual Burgies Awards. Awards up for grabs include best food truck, best dessert and of course, best burger,l get all the details here. The gang from Grovetoberfest are putting together a beer festival just in time for spring break! Mark your calendars for the Sprung – Spring Beer Festival being held March 9, 2013. Any BACON lovers out there? BaconFest is finally making its way to Florida! February 23, 2013 at Seminole Coconut Creek Casino is the place to be for all South Florida Bacon Fanatics.
