A Product/81 Report
Miami’s never been shy about racket-making; we’re even less shy about it during Music Week. But even the most racket-mad among us sometimes needs relief from the loud sounds and killer beats. Thankfully these days we’ve got one. It’s called Wynwood Green. And it just may be the perfect antidote to Ultra.
Founded by Daniel Wills after he got access to the lot adjacent to his Armory Studios, Wynwood Green is something of a neighborhood park, if such a thing grew on organic urban trees. Each month Wills puts together Sundays on the Green, which gathers a gaggle of the most astute environmental minds in Miami. It’s a ‘hood thing, but not strictly so, and it illustrates the kinda talent — and possibility — that lurks within this little pocket known as Wynwood.
This coming Sunday’s Green will feature all sorts of scrumptious doings. There will be sound (Askultura, MindYou and Space Between Words); there will be skate (Amigo Skate Cuba and Sugar’s Drop Shop); there will be food (Bocadito’s, Mac’n and Cool Haus; and there will be street art (a tour that ends with Pabst Blue Ribbon and Vitamin Water). Best of all, Sundays on the Green is powered by BioDiesel, extremely family-friendly and entirely free. And it just may be the most civilized thing we’ve got goin’ on while Miami is in the grip of the glorious madness we call Music Week.
Sundays on the Green takes place March 25, 12pm-7pm at Wynwood Green 572 NW 23 St Wynwood. For more information call (786) 537-2016 or go to www.wynwoodgreen.org

Some visitors are eager to watch comic video clips, however I like to watch terrible videos on YouTube.
